Erasmus day live

Erasmus day live

This initiative was created in 2007 to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Erasmus Project, aiming to promote European cultural identity amongst youth through the fulfilment of artistic events throughout Europe.
The "Erasmus Day Live" has given birth to this project in collaboration with the City of Torino and the European Parliament. It is sponsored by the European Commission and UNESCO involving over 700,000 students through the collaboration of 30 universities across Europe and the participation of cultural institutions and associations.
The project aims to involve and provide visibility opportunities to young European artists who can collaborate to the event. Areas within the universities, squares and cultural centres of the region in which the events will take place will be made available to the artists.
From May to June, Erasmus Day Live will also propose exhibitions on Europe and its institutions in Torino’s main squares, as well as a Tour to major universities across Europe. The Tour will end on 11 June with a great event with high visual impact organized at the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, a show with DJ set (a mix of cultural and groove music), projections on European history and culture, exhibitions of musicians and dancers in front of thousands of young people from across Europe to celebrate the Erasmus programme.
