Scambi Internazionali

Since 1980 the International Youth Exchanges Office of Torino City Council has organized international youth mobility projects, under actions 1, 3, 4 and 5 of the European Youth Programme “Youth in Action” and also on its own, working with partners in Europe, Africa and America.
It gives the opportunity to group of young people (aged 13-30) coming from different countries, to plan an activity according to their needs and common interests, living together for 6-15 days, in order to share their experiences and cultures.
The program of activities can vary according to the type of project and the hosting organization involved, such as workshops, sport, volunteering, performing arts, intercultural evenings and parties, excursions.
The methodology exploited is interactive, using tools typical of non formal, informal and outdoor education and a peer to peer approach.

This year special attention will be given to the partnership with Pècs and Istanbul, in an ideal bridge between the European Youth and the European Cultural Capitals 2010.
